Baelisk is the noble and respected Captain of the Guard for the Hymn to Dammon Cathedral in Tataria. He is very intelligent and methodical, and has a strong sense of virtue. He has been charged by the King of Tataria to find the fabled Silver City as the price for wedding Princess Chamina. Although determined to complete this quest, he sometimes doubts that the Silver City even exists. Baelisk is very kind and patient, but rigidly stubborn.
Baelisk fights with a sword and occasionally with a spear. He is a skilled fencer, and what he lacks in raw strength, he makes up for with his agility and calculated moves.
Shanju

Shanju is a cleric from Dammon's Temple of Catcring, and a long time friend of Baelisk's. He is always devoted to his tasks and hates wasting time--especially when other people waste it for him. He is stubborn and rather impatient, but kind and generous despite himself. He is often distrustful of others, and while Baelisk usually finds his suspicions to be misplaced, it also usually turns out that they are well-founded.
Shanju is comfortable using his clerical spells both offensively and defensively, though casting powerful spells weakens him significantly. He is also a skilled staff fighter, when he needs to be.
Sespheria

Sespheria is an Eastlandish sorceress from the city of Warhole who once preformed magic for money. She is kind, but has a troubled and mysterious past that she does not speak of. Though a powerful magic-user, she sometimes seems unsure of herself. She occasionally falters when she must act, as if worrying that she will actually make things worse.
Sespheria possess no melee weapons, but uses an unusual crystal necklace to channel her magical spells. She also has a darksteed named Theroes, to whom she devotes an unusual amount of care.
Gaddling

Gaddling is a scavenger from Neffalnod. Though not much of a fighter, he is stealthy and cunning, and is very skilled at slight-of-hand and moving silently. Although still proud and somewhat surly, he exhibits surprising charm for a Neffalite, and is relatively well-groomed.
Gaddling carries a short sword and blow gun. When he does engage in combat, he generally favors his blow gun, preferring to fight from a distance.
H'akim Zashir

Race: Westlandish (Kwyn-Annwen)

A shendao assassin of great skill, H'akim has a dark and troubled past that seems to haunt him constantly. As an assassin, H'akim is a calculating and methodical warrior. Though he can kill with a great deal of panache, he callously disregards his profession and does not kill unless it is absolutely necessary. He is thoughtful and gentle, despite his inherently savage nature.
H'akim possesses an enchanted scimitar, which seems to be linked with H'akim himself in some intrinsic way. He also keeps a pouch of poison-tipped shurikens.
