| The burrower is a bizarre creature that seems to be in
a category all its own. It is hairless, and possesses two rows of teeth--not including its
tusks--to aid in its burrowing. Like the sandworm, it secretes
a slimy substance to lubricate its body when traveling underground. The burrower eats whatever
falls into the pitfalls it creates; usually small animals such as squirrels, although a few
cases of unwary travelers falling into such traps and being devoured have been recorded.
Burrowers are found almost everywhere in Narvidia, although they seem to have a concentrated
population in the elvish forests, where there are plenty of small woodland creatures for them
to eat. |
